Select Takes Both Divisions in Rocky Mountain Showcase
Our Utah Select Varsity team won the High School Gold Division and overall championship at the Rocky Mountain Showcase July 9th-10th and our Rising Stars 2013 team took home the championship in the Silver Division. All the local club teams attended the tournament so it was a great opportunity to show how we stack up against local competition.
The Showcase was also the first event for the newly formed Utah Select South team which finished third in the Gold Division.
2010 Utah High School Playoffs and Championship
Utah Select players and coaches featured prominently in the 2010 Utah High School Lacrosse playoffs that culminated with the State Championships on May 15th. Brighton HS, coached by Utah Select co-founder Steve Gray, capped off an undefeated season with a10-7 win in the Division 1 championship game over Park City, which is coached by Utah Select coach Ryan Sheaffer.Congratulations to both Steve and Ryan!
Overall, 5 of the 16 teams in the Division 1 playoffs were coached by Utah Select coaches. Four of the 5 made it all the way to the semi-finals ensuring that Utah Select would be represented on both sides of the championship game!
2010 Utah Select High School All-State and All-American
Many current Utah Select players were honored with All-American, All-State and All-Conference awards for their performance in 2010. We want to congratulate all of this year's award winners for their outstanding achievements.
